Ice Skating in Jerusalem

The new Jerusalem Ice Skating Rink opened on March 10. It is located in a temporary pavilion in Safra Square – in front of the Jerusalem Town Hall and is open until mid April Sunday – Thursday.

Israel Inside Out visited the rink on the first day, and watched the first enthusiasts tie on their skates and head out on to the ice. For a city that is better known for sun bathing than ice skating the first skaters were pretty good and we didn’t see any falls at all. For those who prefer to watch then there is ample seating area and a coffee stand to help you fight off the ice cold.

The rink promises to be a firm favorite with Jerusalemites and tourists alike – slide on down.
